Furniture Mall partnered with Turkois to modernize its in-store sales technology, transitioning from a legacy point-of-sale system to a fully customized, handheld, Stripe-integrated sales experience built on VanillaPOS, Turkois’ turnkey POS solution.

After reaching out to Stripe about switching payment processors, Furniture Mall learned they would need a software partner to support a custom implementation - Stripe recommended Turkois. From there, the collaboration focused on creating a flexible POS system that empowers sales representatives across multiple locations to serve customers anywhere on the showroom floor.

The result is a solution that enhances efficiency, supports Furniture Mall’s open retail layout, and aligns directly with their mission to make furniture shopping fun, customer-focused, and frustration-free.

THE CHALLENGE

Furniture Mall sought to move away from traditional payment processors and adopt Stripe for its flexibility and reliability. However, Stripe requires software partners for custom POS implementations.

Turkois designed and deployed a fully custom POS experience built on VanillaPOS, featuring handheld, Stripe-powered sales terminals deployed on S700 devices that allow sales representatives to assist customers anywhere on the showroom floor. The solution includes deep Stripe integration, aligning seamlessly with the client’s existing accounts to ensure fast, reliable transactions while providing the ability to toggle updates for quick issue mitigation. In addition, the system delivers enhanced checkout functionality, including digital and physical receipts, CRM and marketing opt-in options, gift card compatibility through their existing provider, and support for manual sales, tips, and both partial and full refunds. Altogether, this modernized solution combines robust hardware with a flexible, branded interface designed to streamline staff workflows and elevate the customer experience.
